Carey was a fashion model. She's 5'10" tall and was well-liked by top American designers such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and others. Her father is an accomplished geologist, who was awarded Scientist of the Year back in 1979, at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey went to all over the world because of her father's work. While she attended the University of Colorado, Carey began modeling on the side. The Ford's model agency in New York noticed her and asked for help. She stayed in France for a short time, including Paris as well as Bordeaux. After that, she came back in New York for her college studies as well as to develop her career as a model. While modeling, she studied the study of literature in New York University. Her interest grew in acting and started studying in the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. Her part was a minor one on Club Paradise with Robin Williams, in 1986. She loves rock climbing as well as skiing and windsurfing.
