Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is an Romanian actress. She was awarded the British Academy Television Award Best Actress for her Channel 4 film Sex Traffic. Speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian fluently. Her mother played the violin and her father is a theatre professor at one of Romania's best drama schools. The Youth Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. She was named European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in the year 2008. She taught for 4 years at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria Marina is an Romanian actress born from Iasi Romania on 1 April 1978. An actress from Romanian heritage, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen with the Canadian-British TV series Sex Traffic for which she received the British Academy Television Award for the Best Actress. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film, she is known for her part in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks as well as 2 Days which won her several laurels including an award from the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred as an actress from Romania in Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's film 4 luni3 3 days (four months three weeks and two three weeks and two days) in which she was honored with The Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. She also appeared as the child character in the film of Francis Ford Coppola, Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim anwar, a character from the BBC five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca starred in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven and the Romanian drama Boogie. Then, she played the lead role in 2014's Fury which featured her as Irma who was the German mother of Emma.
