Kotero ended her relationship with Prince following a falling out about the fate of Apollonia 6. She was later seen in various minor roles throughout this time (reportedly refusing to take part on her Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) before landing a role on the night-time television drama Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia released her first album in 1988, but it was an average collection of R&B/dance music that failed to draw attention from the audience. It quickly vanished out of sight. The following decade saw Apollonia continued to perform as an actress (if somewhat under the radar) and also in a few television roles, films and an exercise video. Apollonia's album "Stay With Me" was released in 1997. Then, she went back to school and earned the degree of filmmaker. Then, she started her own production firm. Apollonia has many jobs.
